Our Enrolment Process
Thank you for your interest in Devonport Christian School.
We believe every child is uniquely created and has a purpose to discover. Our enrolment process is an opportunity for families to explore how our Christ-centred community can partner with you in your child’s learning and growth.
At Devonport Christian School, our main entry points are Kindergarten and Year 7, applications for other year levels are welcomed, subject to availability.
To support a smooth enrolment journey, we begin our formal process well in advance. Interviews are typically conducted two years prior to the intended year of entry, and in some cases earlier for high-demand year levels. We encourage families to apply as early as possible, as waiting periods may apply.
Once your application is received after touring, it will be acknowledged and your child will be placed on our Application Register for their nominated year level. Our Enrolments Team will then guide you through the next steps as places become available.
Please view our enrolment process below to get started.
Attend a School Tour
We encourage all prospective families to experience Devonport Christian School firsthand.
Please register for one of our scheduled school tours to explore our campus, meet staff, and gain an understanding of our learning environment and community.
Submit Application
Complete and submit an online application form. The Application Fee, payable with credit card online, is $75 at the time of application.
You will receive an email confirmation acknowledging your application. At this stage, your child will be placed on the Application Register for their selected year of entry.
Please note: submission of an application does not guarantee a place.
Principal Interview
As places become available, families will be invited to attend an interview with the Principal. Most interviews take place approximately two years prior to commencement, allowing time for careful consideration and planning.
Learning Interview
Following the Principal Interview, a Learning Interview will be arranged. This step helps us understand your child’s individual learning needs and ensure we can provide the right support for a successful transition into the School.
Offer / Acceptance
Following the interview process, families will receive written confirmation of the outcome. If a place is available, a formal Letter of Offer will be issued. To secure the position, families will be required to complete the acceptance process within the specified timeframe.
